Classic City Cornbread Recipe
Classic City Cornbread
What you will need:
- 4 Eggs
- 6 cups of Buttermilk
- 1 cup of Melted Shortening
- 6 cups of Cornmeal Mix
- 2 cups of Self-Rising Flour
- 2/3 of a cup of Sugar
For Jalapeno Corn Bread add 1/2 of a cup of finely chopped jalapenos.
How to do it:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
- Combine all the ingredients.
- Pour into a greased muffin OR 9 x 13 pan.
- Put in the oven for 30 minutes (the time can vary depending on mini muffins and regular).
- Enjoy !
