” When it came to choosing wedding vendors, there was never a question on who I wanted for catering and bar services, it was always Classic City. I was planning our wedding on a tight timeline, so I was beyond thrilled when I found out Classic City was available. Despite the tight timeline, from our first tasting to execution, Classic City was not only professional but never made me feel rushed or that my requests were burdensome. David and his team not only helped plan my vision but welcomed and helped build on some of my unconventional ideas. Classic City was there for every part of our day, beginning by passing out champagne and fruit infused water as guests arrived for the ceremony all the way through passing out late night pizza during the dance party. After the ceremony, because we were using a venue that required a flip from the ceremony space into the reception space, it was very important to us that our cocktail hour “wow” our guests; I didn’t want guests to feel like they were standing around waiting for the reception space to be ready. And “wow” it did. From the passed hors d’oeuvres to the specialty cocktails, Classic City added an indescribable elegance. We also wanted to do an oyster bar during the cocktail hour. We really wanted it to be an elevated culinary experience, not your basic oyster bar. The result was beyond our wildest imagination, people are still talking about that incredible oyster bar. During the reception, it was also important to me that we had a plated dinner, which can be difficult to pull off with the number of guests we had. David and his team pulled it off seamlessly, the food was delicious, any guests with dietary restrictions/sensitivities were carefully planned for, and even the children had special considerations for their meals. After dinner, we opted to add a variety of Classic City desserts to go with our traditional wedding cake. It was nice to have dessert options that reflected mine and my husband’s favorite desserts instead of the single option of wedding cake. No detail was forgotten, when I told David I wanted to incorporate Pensacola’s Bushwhacker cocktail, but it didn’t go with the theme of our signature cocktails, he suggested we do late night Bushwhacker shots. It was a great idea, that was a huge hit! The Classic City staff was professional and fun, our guest really enjoyed interacting with the bartenders and servers.
